History

GG Technologies began in 1999 as a value added reseller for technology equipment. With a focus on small business, we saw that business owners were very stressed for time. The issues that kept arising were in the areas of accounting, bookkeeping, and technology. These are areas that many small business owners are not trained for, or interested in, but are necessary for the business to be competitive.

As GG Technologies grew, it became more of an outsourcing company for information technology needs in small businesses. We were supporting the hardware and software for financial applications, productivity applications and networking. We were, in essence, an IT guy for our clients who could not justify a full-time technology specialist. We would also interface with other technology providers in order to maintain or troubleshoot problems, allowing the business owner more time to focus on running their business. Most of the applications and issues we were handling on a regular basis for our clients were related to the client’s accounting and bookkeeping needs. Based on this, we have focused on financial and productivity applications and support.

David is the owner and principal of GG Technologies. David earned his BBA – Banking & Finance from the University of North Texas. He has also done post graduate studies toward his MBA at the University of Phoenix. He has a wide area of expertise in many fields related to small business. His philosophy is centered around a one-to-one relationship with his clients, working to custom tailor a program to meet their specific need.

His business/professional background is diverse. He participated in management and sales most of his adult life. He managed a savings and loan branch and a lending department at a small independent bank. He owned and managed a small sign manufacturing company for twelve years; sold small computers for IBM (before the PC); originated mortgage loans and sold professional employer services before starting GG Technologies, his consulting business. His prior experience with accounting is primarily from handling his own companies accounting. He also used accounting principles in his previous lending positions. He has had the privilege of serving, Carrollton, Texas, as an Election Judge, City Councilman, and Mayor ProTem, as well as serving on various boards and commissions. He has an excellent understanding of the needs and pressures facing small business owners.
